In 2015 we qualified to be included in the Wellness Forum Health Provider Network by successfully completing a 39-hour course in Diet and Lifestyle Intervention and submitting for review detailed documentation about our Points of Origin, PLLC health care practice. Our desire to enter into a partnership with Wellness Forum Health (WFH) came after lengthy conversations and a 6-month long mentorship program with its founder, Dr. Pam Popper.
For over 20 years, Dr. Popper has helped consumers have better health outcomes by providing evidence based health education so they can make informed decisions about their health care. She has done this by establishing Wellness Forum Health in Columbus, Ohio where members pay a modest fee and that entitles them to attend courses on health and wellness, participate in cooking and nutrition classes, access members-only portions of the website, join in conference calls on health-related subjects, and attend monthly educational classes.
At the heart of Wellness Forum Health is their mission statement:
“We believe that it is a fundamental right of all consumers to have a complete analysis of the risks and benefits of any test, drug, supplement, procedure or medical practice of any type before making a decision to proceed. This is not currently the way medicine is practiced, and we intend to change it.”
Dr. Popper’s commitment to helping patients by empowering them with information and using her clinical knowledge to guide them through the often scary medical system inspired us to expand our practice. By becoming “Approved Wellness Forum Health Providers” we are able to leverage off of Dr. Popper’s 20-years of experience and give our local people access to the vast library of health education available through Wellness Forum Health in Columbus, OH.
Dr. Popper created the WFH Provider Network to help practitioners and health care providers who realize the current medical system is unable to meet the intellectual, emotional and clinical needs of the growing number of patients suffering from chronic degenerative diseases. It is especially ill equipped to help those people (like us!) who are proactive in their health care and very much want to prevent illnesses before they start. As providers of the WFH network we are strongly committed to helping Dr. Popper continue to promote and grow Wellness Forum Health as the world’s leader in developing tools and training to help patients through health education and informed medical decision making.
